President
Matthew McCarthy
Matt is a second year graduate student from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He got his B.S. in Kinesiology with a focus in Movement Science with a Minor in Business from Pennsylvania State University. During his undergraduate studies, he played 4 years on the Penn State Baseball Club's D1 team where he served as President of the organization for 2 years.
His Athletic Training experience began as a student volunteer with the Penn State football team during the 2016 spring and fall semesters. In addition to his clinical assignments at Arkansas, Matt completed a summer internship with Arkansas Football and a training camp internship with the Buffalo Bills Football Organization. Matt has accepted a football certified athletic training internship at the University of Tennessee that he will begin following graduation.
Vice-President
Mitchell G. Skinner
Mitchell is a second year graduate student from La Crescenta, California. He graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a B.S. in Kinesiology-Exercise Science and a Minor in Psychology. He served on multiple and various leadership positions throughout his 5 years on campus including President of the Interfraternity Council and Logistics Director of the first TEDx event on campus.
His Athletic Training experience started in 2013 working under the Cal Poly Pomona Broncos Sports Medicine team, XC, Track & Field, Baseball, Volleyball, Soccer programs. He also has internships with the Mt. SAC Football team and the Los Angeles Dodgers Class A-Advanced Baseball team in between summer. Mitchell recently spent his 2018 summer internship working at Northwestern University Football and Olympic programs. He plans to enter the professional sports and/or Division I Collegiate setting after graduation
Treasurer
Ikuo Kato
Kato earned a bachelor's degree in sports science from Tokyo Gakugei University in 2016. His interest in athletic training grew from the time he spent in his junior year as an exchange student at Carthage College in Wisconsin. He also played baseball for 10 years in both Japan and the United States.
Secretary
Colin Glenny
Colin is a second year graduate student from Bellevue, Washington. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon in human physiology with a minor in biology. Colin first gained athletic training experience with the Oregon Ducks football team and has worked with Razorback football, volleyball, and women’s soccer. Additionally, he spent the summer of 2018 as an intern with the Dallas Cowboys. Colin would like to continue his career working with a division-1 football team. When not involved in athletics Colin enjoys the outdoors through running and biking.
